香港特首林郑月娥周六（15日）宣布暂缓修订送中条例后，抗议仍然继续。周六晚间在金钟太古广场发生一起悲剧，一名抗议者爬上平台，与消防人员和谈判专家僵持5小时后不慎坠楼身亡。他挂的横幅上写着“反送中No Extradition To China”、“全面撤回送中，我们不是暴动，释放学生伤者、林郑下台，Help Hong Kong”等字样。民众周日（16日）来到现场哀悼死者。
